Alison Krauss, Big Kenny Appearing at Help Haiti Live Concert
Alison Krauss, Big Kenny, Jars of Clay and Mat Kearney are on the initial list of artists scheduled to perform at Help Haiti Live, a concert taking place Feb. 27 at the Ryman Auditorium. Big Kenny, who will host the event, traveled to Haiti following the Jan. 12 earthquake to search for his friend, Walt Ratterman, the founder of a nonprofit organization that promotes renewable energy in remote areas of the world. Ratterman's family members were notified Sunday (Feb. 7) that his remains had been found in the rubble of the Hotel Montana in Port au Prince, Haiti, where he had been staying while working on projects at schools and hospitals. Tickets to the Help Haiti Live concert go on sale Monday (Feb. 15) via Ticketmaster.
